The French Institute in Prague and the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports have opened a new call for the Barrande Fellowship Programme 2026. This Czech-French exchange programme supports PhD students through scholarships for short-term research stays and joint doctoral supervision (cotutelle). PhD candidates enrolled at Czech universities can apply for a research stay in France, while those studying at French universities can come to the Czech Republic.
Applications are open until 29 January 2026.

Interested candidates are also invited to join an online presentation of the programme on 26 November 2025, where they will learn more about funding opportunities, the selection process, and the experiences of previous fellows.
