The 29th International Conference on Economic Competitiveness and Sustainability (ECOS) will take place on 1–2 April 2027. The conference will be held exclusively in person and in English. Authors are invited to submit original research papers that have not been published previously and are not under consideration by another journal or conference. Submission of a full paper is required in order to present at the conference. Registration will open on 12 October 2026.

Publication opportunities

Authors will have the opportunity to submit their conference papers for publication in one of the academic journals and publication outlets associated with the conference:

• European Journal of Business Science and Technology – EJOBSAT, indexed in databases including Scopus, RePEc and DOAJ,
• Review of Economic Perspectives, indexed, among others, in Web of Science, Scopus, ERIH+, EconLit, EBSCOhost and RePEc,
• MENDELU Working Papers in Business and Economics, indexed in RePEc. In this case, authors retain the copyright to their papers.

• competitiveness of the European Union and the role of the euro,
• law and economics,

• sustainable consumer behaviour.

Important dates

Conference registration will open on 12 October 2026. Proposals for dedicated thematic sessions may be submitted until 23 November 2026.

Standard registration and paper submission will close on 18 January 2027. Authors will be notified of the acceptance decision by 8 February 2027, and the deadline for payment of the registration fee is 19 February 2027.
