19. 10. 2026

The University of Economics in Katowice invites academic staff to participate in International Week 2027, taking place from 10 to 15 May 2027 in Katowice, Poland. Focusing on Internet Communication Management, the event offers an opportunity to teach in an international environment, exchange expertise and strengthen academic partnerships.

Teaching in an international environment

International Week brings together lecturers from foreign universities and both Polish and international students. This year’s theme, Internet Communication Management, covers a wide range of topics, from management and marketing to information and communication technologies.

Suggested topics include:

  • Management, marketing and entrepreneurship
  • Cross-cultural business communication and creative skills
  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning
  • Cybersecurity and software engineering
  • Data analytics and digital marketing
  • Circular economy and decision-making

Original course proposals related to the overall theme are also welcome.

Participating lecturers are expected to deliver courses in English comprising 8 or 16 academic hours. Those interested may also offer additional courses. Teaching methods are entirely up to the lecturers and may include traditional lectures, workshops, discussions, presentations or project-based learning.

Students will receive ECTS credits upon completing the courses (3 ECTS per 16 teaching hours).

Networking and international cooperation

The programme will also feature the Smart Technology & Smart Research seminar, where participants can present their research results, home institutions and countries.

International Week will provide opportunities for networking, informal discussions and the development of future cooperation between universities, including joint project ideas. A variety of cultural and social activities will complement the academic programme.

Erasmus+ teaching mobility opportunities

The invitation is primarily addressed to academic staff from Erasmus+ partner universities, who may fund their participation through Erasmus+ teaching mobility grants. However, lecturers from other institutions are also welcome to participate.
