From October 8th to 10th, 2024, Faculty of Business and Economics hosted the Steering Committee Meeting of the MASUDEM project, a key initiative aimed at fostering sustainable development and management within higher education institutions. The meeting brought together partners from nine universities of Czech, Slovakia, Hungary, Indonesia, Thailand to assess the progress of the project, plan future activities, and share insights into the implementation of sustainable practices in academia.
The event kicked off with a welcome from Assoc. Prof. Svatopluk Kapounek, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics at MENDELU, setting the stage for fruitful discussions. Throughout the three days, the participants delved into topics such as project management, quality assurance, and financial reporting. A significant portion of the agenda was dedicated to evaluating the launch of newly developed study programs and their quality improvement processes.
Key sessions included presentations from leaders of Work Packages, with discussions led by Prof. Dr. Anetta Čaplánová (EUBA, Bratislava), doc. PhDr. Martina Rašticová (MENDELU, Brno) and Dr. Rita Takács (ELTE, Budapest). The event also featured a session on dissemination and sustainability, ensuring that the project’s achievements continue to make an impact in the future.
Participants had the opportunity to engage in collaborative discussions, explore Brno’s cultural offerings, and align strategies to further enhance the sustainable development efforts within the MASUDEM framework. The meeting was a milestone in the project’s journey, reinforcing MENDELU’s commitment to sustainability and international collaboration.
