Faculty

FBE is a modern and constantly developing school, which follows trends in education and research. It offers both economic and IT study programs at all three levels of university education in Czech and in English. There are nearly 4,000 applicants on average each year.

In 2011 – 2015 FBE was evaluated as the best business school in Moravia and the 3rd best business school in the Czech Republic. Both in the rankings by Hospodářské noviny, and in the competition “Faculty of the Year”, elected by the students themselves, the FBE ranked 1st place in Moravia in the section of business schools.

Faculty is located at the university campus in a modern building Q, which was awarded as the “Building of the Year 2005”. The building is equipped with a Wi-Fi, free use of the computer lab, lecture rooms and classrooms where lessons take place.

Incoming students must be nominated by their university/faculty coordinators. The coordinator should send the document Nomination form to katerina.benesovska@mendelu.cz and in cc to veronika.krutilova@mendelu.cz.

More information

To start the application process, a coordinator must email a scanned confirmed copy of the Application Form (attached) within 14 days after the nomination. It must be duly completed and signed by the international coordinator of the sending (home) university and a student. The Learning Agreement is part of the Application Form and is then confirmed by the Host institution coordinator. When all the documentation is completed and other financial responsibilities are handled, the Letter of Acceptance will be issued for each student.

The faculty website has updated information on the academic year’s organization and a list of courses offered here. Incoming students are asked to arrive within the first two weeks of the semester. Later arrivals are possible only upon approval.

The visa application procedure can take up to 60 days. Please consult with the relevant embassy about the necessary dates and documents for the visa application.

Tuition fee

The tuition fee for one semester is 40,000 CZK per student (ca. 1600 EUR), and for two semesters, 80,000 CZK. In case of visa rejection, the paid tuition fee is returned for the rejected student (administration or bank fees are not reimbursed and are deducted from the tuition fee amount).

Final Documents

After passing all exams, students will receive two documents from the International Relations Office:

  • Transcript of Records – the list of all passed exams with the grades and ECTS credits
  • Confirmation of the Study Period – the confirmation with the dates of your arrival and departure, maximum is the first day and last day of the semester
