Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

Our programmes prepare students to obtain the prestigious international CFA certification (Level III). Thanks to the programme’s accreditation and a scholarship from the CFA Institute, students can take the exams free of charge.

The CFA exam content overlaps with more than 80% of the curriculum in the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in Finance. The CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation is a globally recognised qualification for finance professionals, particularly in the fields of investment management and financial analysis.

Holding a CFA certificate provides graduates with a global perspective and opens doors to international career opportunities in finance, especially in financial management. Even during their studies, students can participate in various activities and competitions that give them access to a broad network of international finance professionals, offering opportunities for career growth, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.

European Master in Official Statistics

The Faculty of Business and Economics obtained the international European Master in Official Statistics (EMOS) certification in 2020.

EMOS represents a network of master’s programmes that provide postgraduate education in the field of official statistics at the European level. It is a joint initiative of universities and national statistical offices across Europe. Currently, the network includes 32 universities from 17 European countries, with only two universities located in the Czech and Slovak Republics.

Universities offering EMOS-accredited master’s degrees actively collaborate with national statistical offices, and students are directly involved through a six-week practical internship combined with the opportunity to write a thesis on an applied topic. Upon successful completion of their studies, graduates receive an EMOS certificate issued by Eurostat, which enhances their employability in both national and international public institutions (such as statistical offices or central banks) as well as in private companies. Typical career paths include positions such as statistical expert, risk management officer, analytical programmer, data analyst, or forecaster.

Union of Accountants

The Union of Accountants of the Czech Republic is a nationwide professional organisation that brings together accountants, auditors, tax advisors, and other professionals in the field. Through its Certification Institute, the Union oversees the certification of the accounting profession in the Czech Republic. Since September 2023, students of the Faculty of Business and Economics, MENDELU, have been eligible to apply for recognition of up to 8 out of 10 certification modules.

European Council for Business Education

The Faculty of Business and Economics obtained its international ECBE accreditation as early as 1996, with the current accreditation valid until 30 September 2030. Although the accreditation process is entirely voluntary and relatively costly, the faculty views it as part of its ongoing commitment to continuous quality improvement and as a form of external evaluation that provides more in-depth feedback than the documentation prepared for the Czech National Accreditation Bureau.
