Freemover study programme – Winter semester 2022/2023

Faculty of Business and Economics of Mendel University in Brno is offering a possibility of studies in Freemover study programme to refugee students from Ukraine directly affected by war in Winter semester 2022/2023. Studying as a freemover is free of charge, monthly scholarship (September to December) will be provided in the amount of 10 000 CZK. Upon successful completion of courses, student will receive a Transcript of Records. A student can request the course recognition at their home university in Ukraine when the war is over. Is prohibited to be enrolled into other university degrees/ programmes (even different universities).

The capacity of this programme is limited, only students that fulfill all requirements and will be selected in the admission procedure will be enrolled.

Please note that the deadline for arrival and enrollment to Freemover programme is 12th September 2022.
We are not able to enrol more students after this date.

Student must send following documents and information to foreign@pef.mendelu.cz.

  • Motivation letter
    • free format (word or pdf), at least 200 words why you should be accepted including the area you are coming from (war zone)
  • Study confirmation from your university
    • any document confirming university studies in the economic area in Ukraine – ISIC, student’s card, confirmation of studies, transcript of records, print screen from university information system
  • List of subjects you wish to study (find all courses below)
  • Address in Ukraine and telephone
  • Copy of passport/ID
  • Copy of your Visa
  • Arrival
    • let us know the day and time of your arrival
  • Accommodation
    • if you want to live in dormitories, let us know in advance. Please note the dormitories are getting full and we cannot ensure a place there

Based on this information, the faculty committee will decide whether the student is entitled to study under the exchange programme Freemover. After you submit your application you will be contacted by the The International Relations Office of FBE MENDELU with further details.

Conditions

  • Students must enrolled to at least 2 subjects
  • Attendance to classes is obligatory (minimum 80% of the classes, or, according to the supervisor of every subject)
  • Is prohibited to be enrolled into other university (faculty) degrees/ programmes.
  • The deadline for arrival to Brno and enrollment to Freemover programme is 12th September 2022

Unfortunatelly, since January 2022, according to Mendel University regulation, exchange students are not entitled to student’s discount for meals at MENDELU canteens.
