Why study Economics with us?
At the Institute of Economics, we foster critical thinking and train students in logical reasoning. Talented and motivated students are offered active roles as scholarship holders and are involved in research and educational projects. Our scientific findings are regularly published in economics and interdisciplinary journals.
- The Art of Clearly Explaining Economic Reality Even though we teach courses that are often considered challenging, we present them in a different way. Students consistently rate these courses as highly valuable and popular in evaluations. Our staff regularly receive teaching awards and win student polls.
- Economics Discussion Club In 2015, a purely voluntary gathering of enthusiastic students and academics began. Over time, it has evolved into an established platform for developing analytical thinking and argumentation skills. Many graduates of the Economics Discussion Club have gone on to participate in research and project activities at the faculty, with many continuing their studies at the doctoral level.
- We Are Here for Students We offer opportunities for talented bachelor’s and master’s students who are not afraid of economic challenges. Our goal is to motivate students to engage in their own creative work.
- Research and Publications Our faculty and students regularly publish in leading scientific journals and participate in both domestic (e.g., TAČR, GAČR) and international (Horizon) grant projects.
