- Dates: October 7th till October 9th, 2025
- Location: Aeres University of Applied Sciences, Dronten, Netherlands
This event is centered around two key themes: Internationalization at Home (IaH) and Virtual Exchange (VE). We aim to foster a collaborative environment where we can share best practices, discuss innovative projects, and explore new opportunities for international collaboration.
We are also happy to announce that during the same week the national Dutch Food Week is organized. A week in which you can discover where our food comes from, how it is produced, and what impact it has on our health, the economy, and our society. All across the Netherlands, countless fun and educational activities are being organized and we take part in this initiative as well! Think of farm tours, cooking workshops, markets filled with local products, and inspiring lectures. It’s the perfect opportunity to see, taste, and understand how the choices we make on our plates affect not only our health but also the world around us and we are combining the best of both worlds; our International Week and the Dutch Food Week!
Event Overview:
During the International Week, we will host a series of workshops, lectures, and discussions focused on integrating international and intercultural dimensions into our curricula. You will have the chance to present your university’s initiatives in IaH and VE, share your expertise, and learn from others.
Key Themes:
Internationalization at Home (IaH): Integrating international and intercultural dimensions into the formal and informal curriculum for all students within domestic learning environments. We would like to especially look into the possibilities of Virtual Exchange (VE): Fostering intercultural dialogue and soft skills development through online collaborative learning with international partners.
We want to exchange best practices on virtual exchange and are interested to hear who has applied for the European call for Virtual Exchanges.
Program Highlights:
- Project Showcase: Share your current projects related to IaH and VE.
- Networking Opportunities: Engage with colleagues from around the world to explore potential collaborations, especially opportunities to jointly apply for a virtual exchange project
- Workshops: Participate in interactive sessions on designing and implementing successful IaH and VE initiatives.
- Cultural Exchange: Experience Dutch culture and hospitality with the highlight of our international market!
- Experience the Dutch Food Week!
Registration: Please express your interest, to let us know if you will join. After your registration we will sent you further details for preparation the International week.
Accommodation and Logistics: We can assist with accommodation arrangements on our campus.
For more information, please contact our international office at international.uas@aeres.nl.
We look forward to welcoming you to Dronten and exploring these exciting themes together!
